The Zonin family’s legacy of winemaking began in 1821, spanning seven generations of winemakers in Northern Italy. Presently, the family channels its passion and knowledge into owning and operating Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A., the largest privately owned vineyard and winemaking company in Italy.
The Zonins have grown their collection of vineyards to cover more than 9,800 acres of land, 5,000 of which are dedicated to the cultivation of grapes. Their portfolio includes nine wineries located in seven of the most renowned wine regions in Italy. The family holdings also include the historic Barboursville Estate in Virginia in the United States, which is comprised of 1,200 acres, 225 of which are vineyards. However, despite the scale and diversity, Zonin is committed to upholding the unique winemaking traditions of each region, reducing its carbon footprint, and preserving the land for future generations.
The ZONIN1821 produces a wide range of wines; many of Zonin’s products are made using varietals that are native to the region in which they are grown. Each estate ensures that every bottle embodies the philosophy of preserving the local winemaking traditions, land, and culture of their respective regions, guaranteeing the highest quality wines, from the vineyard to the glass.
Casa Vinicola Zonin has received the Impact Hot Brands Award for three consecutive years, Drinks Business Green Award, and Wine Enthusiast honored President Gianni Zonin with a lifetime achievement award.
